AGPAL Accredited General Practice
Accreditation is a voluntary process that ensures that practice has met standards of safety and quality. The standards are set by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and practices are assessed against these standards by an independent organization.
Meeting these standards means:
• We respect your rights and needs
• We offer a safe place for your care
• We are committed to improving your health
• We use safe and sterile equipment, and
• We are committed to ongoing education & training.
RACGP Training Practice
Our practice participates in the RACGP Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program and regularly has Registrars on-site.
A GP Registrar is a fully qualified medical doctor, undertaking advanced training to specialize in General Practice. The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners requires aspiring General Practitioners to complete an advanced GP training program.
Being qualified medical doctors, GP Registrars are knowledgeable and skilled. Our practice offers 6 or 12 months placements for our Registrars. After 6 or 12 months, registrars generally moved on to their next placement. Once they complete their final exams and are fully-fledged general practitioners, many continue their careers with the practice.
